Week 8 Review

Good Afternoon Gentlemen.

Week 8 is now officially in the book and after a nailbiter of a week 7, we seemed to have some breakway games this week.We moved back into our Week 1 matchups in rematches that some of us hoped to reverse the outcome. With that being said, I would like to congradulate King of December on becoming the second team in clinching their playoff berth. Moving to 7-1 King of December is neck and neck with Emergency Room for the best record in the league as both hope to gain that extra cash at the end of the season. On the otherhand it was a sad week for Team Hanrahan and Team Downs who fell again this week to 1-7. It looks very likely that we will see both of these teams in the Kilt Bowl.

Harder Klum

Record: 5-3

Divison: 2nd in the East

Chance to Make Playoffs: 99%

Week 9 Matchup: Balls Deep

Line: Balls Deep -5

CSMBETS: Michael Pittman UN 5 Rec 70 YD

Harder Klum has had a bounce back few weeks going on now a 2 week win streak to pull ahead in the east division as the 2nd fiddle to King of December. With a great performance from Tony Pollard and the emerging potenital comeback player of the year in Travis Eitienne, Harder Klum might have something with a very formidable Running Back Core. A rather surprising performance from Taylor Heinicke overcame the dreadful performance from Derreck Carr who looked like a JV high Schooler on sunday versus the Saints. Harder Klum going forward will be a tough opponent but his lack of Wide Recievers could be his downfall. Michale Pittman Jr. looks horredous alongside the struggling Colts and any lingering injuries to Deebo Samuel could provide costly to Harder Klum’s success.

This next week Harder Klum will face off against Balls Deep in a game where Harder Klum hopes to get his revenge from earlier this season. With byes from Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard, Deebo Samuel and a tough matchup for Dameon Pierce, this week could be a tough one for Harder Klum to edge out.

Week 9 Matchup: Harder Klum

CSMBETS: Amon Ra St. Brown OV 5 Rec 70 YD +1 TD

After a great 2 weeks on top, Balls Deep has fallen in his matchup to Emergency Room. IT was a good run for Balls Deep but inevitably, it came down to his poor depth at running back and underwhelming performances from his lack of production from Drake London and Amon Ra St. Brown. In a game that was a complete shoot-out, it was a bit disappointing to see St. Brown fail to eclipse 7 points this week. Regardless, the continued plague of injuries haunts Balls Deep and he hopes to hold onto a playoff position untill his players (Ja’marr Chase and Michael Thomas), become healthy. Going forward Balls Deep should hope to see more production from his runningbacks especially Najee Harris who will hopefully bounce back in a running offense after the Stellers have delt their arguably best reciever in Chase Claypool. Gus Edwards can hopefully continue to be a workhorse however the fear everyweek for Balls Deep should be the name of Kenyan Drake.

This next week Balls Deep will face off against Harder Klum in a matchup which will test the depths of eachothers teams. Balls Deep with a bye week from Melvin Gordon and Najee Harris still seems to come out as a favorite in this game facing an even more struggling team of Harder Klum.

Chance to Make Playoffs: 77%

Week 9 Matchup: Team Hanrahan

Line: Only I Can Say the N Word -20

CSMBETS: Keenan Allen OV 5 REC 80 + YD

Only I can Say the N Word has gotten a poor rap this season. With an overall solid team and even better in a weak division, OICSTNW seems to be on track to finishing second in their division. It has been a rough season trying to get behind the backs of divorcee Tom Brady and Riding Russell Wilson. This past week was rough as seeing a failing depth in runningback and wide recievers was the song of the match as Chase Edmonds should not be in the starting lineup, and a disappointing weekend for Devante Smith in an otherwise dominant Eagles win. The upside for OICSTNW was Alvin Kamara and the continued excellent performance from Tyreek Hill. If their QB’s can get in order, OICSTNW is a force to be reckoned with week in and week out.

This next week Only I can Say the N Word will face off against Team Hanrahan and will have to find some replacements for a plethera of byes this week, Kareem Hunt, George Kittle, Michael Gallup and Russell Wilson being out will prove to be a tough challenge but a rather easier matchup will be nice for this week.

CSMBETS: Darell Henderson 1+ TD

Team Hanrahan has been on a bad streak since their winagainst Team Downs 2 weeks ago. Whether it is poor management or bad luck, the starting of multiple players who scored 0 points in the past week is shocking. To have your kicker tied for the most points on your team is horredous. Continuing to start a 4th string running back who is on IR and on a bye is baffling to me and I think I speak for everyone when we are beginning to question Team Hanrahans management skills. Prove us wrong. On the up side, Brandon Aiyuk seemed to shine this past week with an injured Deebo and looks to be a great option if Deebo is incapacitated.Lets hope that this team can make a strong unlikely push and make the playoffs.

This next week Team Hanrahan will face off against Only I can Say the N Word and will have to find some replacements for a plethera of byes this week, Ezikiel Elliott, Dionte Johnson and Brandon Aiyuk being out will prove to be a tough challenge. It will be interesting to see how T.J Hockenson will perform after his trade to Minnesota, lets hope maybe he can be the spark that Team Hanrahan needs to win this week.

King of December

Record: 7-1

Division: 1st in the East

Chance to Make Playoffs: 100%

Week 9 Matchup: Pompano Beach Sniper Gang

Line: King of December -2.5

CSMBETS: Mark Andrews OV 5 REC 60 + YD

King of December continues to put on a flashy performance every week. It seems that King of December might have 3 servicable QB’s in Tua Tagovailoa, Geno Smith, and Justin Fields who all eclipses 19 points this week. Again the consitstancy of King of Decembers lineup is what is pushing him to his great run along with breakout performances week to week like this week with D.J Moore who has a monster weekend. Going forward, King of December’s team could struggle a bit with his WR depth but as the season continues on it is hard to see a large fall from grace from King December prior to the playoffs.

King of December has been on a roll recently and it looks like no one can stop him. But never say never, as this week is againt the algorithm boy himself Pompano Beach Sniper Gang. King of December has been blessed with no real major byes this week minus Courtland Sutton who seems to be fairly replaceable.

Week 9 Matchup: King of December

Line: King of December -2.5

CSMBETS: Davante Adams 6+ REC 80 + YDS 1+ TD

Pompano Beach Sniper Gang looks GOOD following an impressive 192.34 points this past week even with some faltering performances from Davante Adams and Eno Benjamin. I think inthe past I may have underestamated this team but it appears that even without wins, Modern Warefare Kyler can still achieve fantasy points. The great performances from Amari Cooper and Jaylen Waddle continue to shock and we will look for a great perfromance from Adams in this bounce back game. The only worry I have of this team is the running back depth but Rhamondre Stevenson and Eno Benjamin have proven themselves to be servicable while Corderelle Patterson remains sidelined.

This week is a real test for Pompano Beach Sniper Gang as he faces the division leader King of December in this matchup that will surely be a shootout. Two big byes from Ceedee Lamb and Amari Cooper could prove costly to Pompano Beach Sniper Gang but hopefully, Tyler Lockett will be serviceable for the Seahawks squad.

Week 9 Matchup: Emergency Room

Line: Emergency Room -33.5

CSMBETS: Davante Adams 6+ REC 80 + YDS 1+ TD

It has been a rough past 5 weeks for Team Downs. With trades that he has hoped would turn around his team, it seems almost impossible for Team Downs to turn this season around. We hope he will prove us wrong but the disappointing year for Johnathan Taylor and the overall lack of any Running Back production is startling. Daniel Jones who has been solid for Team Downs does not seem to be a solution at QB and unfortunatly, a move of D’onte Foreman to his lineup this week could have seen Team Downs win this matchup. Hindsight is 2020. The WR Core contuinues to be good but it is just not enough to carry Team Downs this season. Maybe there are still tricks up his sleave but as for now, it seems like this season maybe a lost cause.

Team Downs will have another tough matchup this week facing off against the points leader of Emergency Room with a tremendous amount of byes this week to account for. Dak Prescott, Daniel Jones, Jerry Jeudy, Latavius Murry, and Pat Friermuth will be tough to all replace as well as an injury to Mike Williams and the new trade of Chase Claypool. If Team Downs can not change this week, it may be the nail in the coffin for him.

Again with a great start to this seaosn and no real end in sight, Emergency Room is looking to take over the league. Many questioned what would happen to Christian McCaffrey following his release of prision from Carolina and well, he answered this week by passing, rushing, and recieving a touchdown. This man can literally do everything. Besides this, AJ Brown has been terrific as I’m sure all you Eagles fans are excited about. Besides this, a lack of a consistent third reciever is the only flaw with this team. Curtis Samule does not deserve to be a WR3 in this league but with the depth and strength of the rest of this team it is hard to find anything else to complain about. For Emergency Room’s sake, lets hope that Eagles can continue to fly and Emergency Room can ride Jalen Hurts all the way through the playoffs.

With this weaks matchup against a severly brutalized Team Downs, this should be an interesitng matchup. Emergency Room does have some very notable byes with CMC23, and Nick Chubb, but overall these should not affect too much in this matchup if Emergency Room’s team can continue to put up consistent numbers.

Emergency Room: obvious first place. Arguably 4 RB1s on the squad and depending on what happens in New York that might add an RB 2/3 to the flex spot. Some would say lackluster wrs but as shown this weekend they can shine on their day. TE has been a constant weekends but with the best defense play in the league it’s an easy first place

King of December: very strong qb play in recent weeks although he’s rostered 4 so he’s bound to get a couple hits. Austin Ekeler is a standout and his next 3 running backs are performing at a consistent rb2 level with breakout performances well into the top 8. Hit or miss wide receivers can leave Carl with 180 or 115 on any given week depending on their play but with a great TE and a usable bench he’s a solid second place

Harder Kulm: Edward Saad was the biggest winner of the Jaguars trade. Travis Ettiene has skyrocketed into what could possibly be an upper level rb1 pairing up as a monster duo with Saquon. An injury from Zek saw Tony pollard show a rockstar level performance and with Zekes history we may see more of that. This made up for a complete lack of offense from David carr and the Raiders but I don’t expect that to become a trend. With Edward getting his two play makers back off bye and Deebo coming back from an injury Edward will pose a tough matchup for any opponent week in and week out

PBSG: I will have to admit Roy was right. He was getting shafted a little bit in our power rankings but no more. Finally a fair placement for our boy. A dynamic duo at qbs that will rarely miss sees the floor on PBSGs performances sitting higher than most teams in the league. Henry had found his form and it looks every week more and more like Rhamondre Stevenson has won a starting role in NE. Eno Benjamin is still a question mark but we know Roy’s wr room is filled with big playmakers leading to weeks like he had in week 8. I will continue to question why he has 3 TEs rostered but if he continues to put up respectable numbers there’s nothing wrong with that. Also thank you for dropping the Steelers defense you’ve been pissing away 12 points a week by starting them

Balls Deep: injuries haven’t been kind to Conner Malley lately and it’s seen his team take a bit of a hit but the performance he had this week would say it isn’t as much of a problem as we may think. That being said with as many key injuries as he has I can’t see fit to put him over Roy this week. Jeff Wilson has become all but dropable with the trade for CMC and Jamarr chase could see multiple weeks out hurting Joe Burrow as well. At its fullest this team is really good but with some of his players on the decline and injuries throughout his team definitely isn’t at the best he could be. However I believe we will see a resurgence before playoffs come

Team Downs: Finally someone else knows how it feels to put up top 4 or 5 points for numbers and still be staring the kilt bowl in the face. John has been shafted by matchups coming third or so in points for in weeks and losing to the top 1 or 2 performers. That being said there is some bright news for John. His new pickup had a stellar performance to promote his bid for starting panthers RB and claypool could see a bigger role for himself in Chicago. Most of Johns injured starters are also back but some question marks remain. Will Taylor get over his horrendous show of form? Can Montgomery and swift grab rb1 status in their respective locker rooms? Can John continue to rely on his wrs if the answer to these previous questions is no? Until we know these things gotta drop him at 6th

OICSTNW: Jared’s team is pretty underwhelming in most areas. If you look at his team it may not look so bad with established fantasy studs like Keenan Allen and Joe Mixon and Tom Brady but the truth is his whole team is under performing. The talent he has means it’s theoretically possible for all his guys to get their shit together and bring him up to 150-160-170 average each week but reality has been different with Jared being one of only 2 teams yet to pass the 1000 point mark on the season. That being said he still finds wins somehow like Kanye finds new ways to cancel himself

Team Hanrahan: I don’t know what more I can say about Team Hanrahan that hasn’t been said after every time a trade involving him is accepted. Every managerial move has been questionable and hes starting like 4 guys that won’t touch the field each week. Maybe look to trade your injured players to have a shot at winning a week instead of putting up 100 points max and then claiming your team is full of sleepers. Yeah they’re sleeping during the game cuz they aren’t playing. Not at all pleasing to look at on the fantasy app while writing this but if all of his injured players spontaneously came back his team would still be a bit below average. Kilt bowl shoe in
