Week 5 Review

Good Afternoon Gentlemen.

Another absolutely amazing week for this fantasy football group. We had some more banter going around the league this week and even a blockbuster trade that took place. Let’s see how everything played out this week.

King of December vs. Emergency Room:

America’s matchup of the week. Going into this week we knew that one of these teams was going to come out on top and remain undefeated and Emergency Room was able to prevail. With an absolutely stunning performance from his running backs Nick Chubb, Josh Jacobs, and Leonard Fournette, this team continues to be on fire. King of December made a valiant effort to win this week but came up just short like Kyler Murray sliding for a first. The great performance from Austin Ekeler is a great sign of weeks to come and I’m sure you’re not decimated from this loss but it is a sign that your team is not invulnerable. King of December falls to 4-1 while a surprising Emergency Room moves to an undefeated 5-0.

Team Hanrahan vs. Harder Klum

What can I say about this matchup. There was a lot of talk before this game by Team Hanrahan after his “win now” trade made with Team Downs. In the end however, it was all talk as “Lamar is goated” maybe the case but he certainly did not help your team this week. Harder Klum must have been very nervous going into the Monday night game but with a stellar performance from Kelce and an overalll shootout of a game from both of your QB’s, a victory became imminent. Other than an once in a season game from Gabe Davis, Team Hanrahan team looks to be in peril as he falls to 0-5 as Harder Klum moves up in the standings to an over .500 3-2.

Pompano Beach Sniper Gang vs. Team Downs

On the other side of the blockbuster trade, Team Downs was looking to knock off the cocky Pompano Beach Sniper Gang in a game that turned into one of the highest score matchups of the season. Pompano Beach Sniper Gang was lead by a Monday night showing of an insane Devante Adams as well as Josh Allen who looks to be the best QB in the league. An outstanding performance from Tyler Lockett too who showed that he does not need Russell Wilson to be a stud. Team Downs put up a fight that lasted to the final bell. His team looks much more balanced but this week his weak running backs still got the best of him. It is tough to see but we can only imagine how this matchup would have ended if Nyheim Hines did not get his concussion. Although this is a loss for Team Downs a come back game looks to be in the mix going forward. Pompano Beach Sniper Gang improves to 3-2 while Team Downs falls to 1-4.

Only I Can Say the N Word vs. Balls Deep

Just as only one can say the n word, one of us had to come out on top. In this matchup Only I can Say the N word had the power of divorce on his side as Tom Brady looked to cook the Falcons in their matchup. With a rather good performance it was not enough for his team to come out on top. Kamara looked bright in his return but a late fumble was costly for him and the vulture that is Taysom Hill seems to be the only viable member of the saints who can score a touchdown. Balls Deep on the other hand had a well rounded performance from his players capped off by a great showing from Dalvin Cook and Jeff Wilson.  Balls Deep moves to 2-3 as Only I can Say the N word falls to 2-3.

A great slate of games this week, hopefully we can keep up this competitive spirit as this brings us to our Future Outlooks.

With 5 weeks into the season already, it is time to do some outlooks for the future for all of the teams.

We start off with Team Hanrahan.  Let us pray that this team is carried by Lamar because other than that we could be looking at our first fully defeated season in Tatnall Class of 2018 league history. A fully defeated team would be interesting but a bad sight for first year member Team Hanrahan. Team Hanrahan will look to avoid an 0-6 start this week by facing off his parent team Team Downs who was his groomer… or partner, in their deal. Looking back at the trade after one week Team Downs trading a out for the year rb in Rashad Penny, a backup at best Latavius Murray, Zach Hertz, Amari Cooper, Not So Scary Terry, Cede Lamb and Lamar Jackson for D’andre swift, Mike Evans , Mike William, Jonathan Taylor and Aaron Rodgers, this is just a steal for Team Downs. With this wondrous trade and a basically new team, Team Downs will look to turn his season around and hope that Jonathan Taylor can also turn his season around.

Harder Klum is so far on a solid start to his year and will hope to continue his run against King of December in week 6. Sadly, the marksmanship of Derek Carr will be of absence for Harder Klum this week as well as the absolute tank which is Damon Pierce due to byes. Lets hope that Tyler Allgeier can fill Pierces pants for this Harder Klum RB core which has been impressive even with the lack of production from Najee Harris. King of December on the other hand, looks to bounce back from his only loss of the season. He may have a tough choice to make this week at the QB position as Mr. Concussion Tua Taugoviola maybe back this week to manage a distraught Dolphins team. With no notable byes or injuries this week for King of December he must be hoping for a big win in a matchup that will surely cause havoc in their apartment.

Balls Deep looks to be steadily improving week by week but the lack of QB production is concerning from 2 of the more higher rated QBs going into the draft. With production from Jeff Wilson expected to tail off in the upcoming weeks, Balls Deep looks to get his wins now and secure his spot in the playoff running. He may have a shining light after this week as Deandre Hopkins returns in Week 7. Balls Deep will be facing the worst formatting points leader of the week Pompano Beach Sniper Gang. Pompano Beach Sniper Gang  looks to have another great week but will be without Derrick Henry this week as well as star receiver Devante Adams. That RB depth hurting you now huh? With a hope that Dawson Knox can be back this week to replace the abysmal Dalton Schultz, it seems Pompano Beach Sniper Gang will be relying on his QBs and all of Joe Burrows passes to go to Tee Higgins this week to secure a win. Fuck you, you’re going to lose.

Emergency Room must be feeling on top of the world right now. After his amazing win to become the only undefeated team, having everyone riding your teams dick in the group chat, everything must seem great. This is your peak. Your undefeated team will not stay so for much longer as your players will come back down to earth. As for this week, Darren Waller will be on a bye but that should mean almost nothing as he has been a handicap for your team every week so far. Emergency Room faces off against Only I can Say the N Word who looks to bounce back. With a hopeful renewing of health for Jk Dobbins, Alvin Kamara and hopefully Keenan Allen, Only I can say the N word looks to solidify themselves as a competitor not to be trifled with. This truly should be a great matchup this week for two of the better teams in the league.

With that I am calling my matchup of the Week 🚨🚨🚨 While all of these matchups are great, with Team Hanrahan trying to prove who really won the trade between him and Team Downs, to Only I can say the N Word trying to knock off the undefeated Emergency Room, the game of the week will be between Harder Klum and King December in a matchup that not only should be close, but will grant the winner bragging rights 24/7 in their apartment.
